Note: this site is an archive of the very first web page I ever made. It was a personal web page and was intentionally unprofessional.
Hire me!
I am available as an expert programmer for JAVA consulting opportunities.
Better yet - hire my company.
Odin Consulting can provide for all your Java development needs. Odin also
offers consulting for web page content and usability development.

About Me:
This is where my picture will be someday.
I am a 28 year old single male. I attended the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis and graduated with a B.S. degree
in Economics. Naturally, I'm a professional computer programmer. I am a computer programmer and
amateur stock analyst by hobby. I like sports - especially college basketball and college and pro football. I play
some basketball games occasionally and run sprints, swim and lift weights for exercise.
Garlic is the most important spice in the world. I subsist almost entirely on various forms of pasta, usually served with either chicken or beef. Other standard provisions include taco salad, steak, "Joel's World Famous Soup" and lots and lots of chocolate.
I like a wide range of music - from music that will frighten you (Slayer) to music so fluffy and inane that it will make you sick (Lisa Loeb). Mostly I tend to like the heavier alternative bands that don't have that annoying Seattle sound and pop music that has a new twist and a good feel to it.
My favorite T.V. shows are The Simpsons, King of the Hill, Daria, The Tick, The Daily Show,
Dexter's Laboratory, and 2 Stupid Dogs. Is it just a coincidence that all but one of these is a cartoon?
If I'm not watching a cartoon, I'm usually watching EPSN, the History Channel, Discovery, The Learning Channel or
a movie on one of the premium channels. I used to watch MTV, back in the days when they actually played music videos.
I'm looking for a tall, intelligent, beautiful and witty young woman to be my soulmate. Three out of four will do.

Java
JAVA is an interesting programming language with great potential for rapid development of interactive applications.
It provides the Object Oriented functionality of C++ without being weighted down by the more cumbersome and obscure features.
In addition, it provides real protection against pointer bugs - which are the bane of all C and C++ applications.
It is well suited to a web environment.
XEmacs is the UNIX editor for the rest of us. XEmacs provides all of the functionality of GNU Emacs, but adds an attractive
front end and usable GUI elements such as real scrollbars and an icon bar. Its ability to display multiple fonts and handle
international text is very important.
I am a contributor to the XEmacs project, currently engaged in rewriting
the XEmacs redisplay engine. Check it out.
If you like UNIX, you'll love Linux. It's free, it's fast and it works.
